Moxie

This innovative organisation is focussed on delivering sustainable power and water from the sea by building wave energy devices. These devices power Blue Economy businesses and communities with low-carbon electricity and desalinated water. Moxie was asked to modernise their logo and develop a visual identity to bring their vision alive.

The requirements were to agree on a final name—the original Azura Wave Technology New Zealand was too long and not reflective of Azura’s international positioning. Azura Wave Power is much more contemporary and emotionally impactful and provided a better platform for the brand.

We then worked with the Azura team to create a new visual identity and key brand collateral, and we provided look and feel direction and content for their website.

We kept the existing brand mark and modernised it with fresh colours and typography. The colour palette played in the vivid blue, teal and cyan hues you would see in a wave. These colours are often used within this sector, so we added a yellow to differentiate the brand and to speak to the energy created by the product.

The circles found within the brand mark have been used heavily throughout the visual identity within compositions and iconography. Not only are they reflective of the brand mark, but also bubbles, energy particles, and the planet.

The client is delighted with their new image and its important role in telling their story and supporting their business and partner growth objectives.
