In their mission to show, not tell, the Electricity Authority (EA) realised they required fresh and impactful visual material to be used on social media and numerous other channels.
Moxie has been working with EA since 2014. During this time, we have brought consistency to the EA brand and significantly uplifted the tone of their visual communications, achieving a fresh, contemporary look and feel.
Their sphere of operations is complex, and the organisation has a wealth of information available to industry participants. Finding better ways of communicating their story has been a significant focus over recent years in response to changing audience behaviours, increased channels and disruptive new technologies. EA was keen to develop a new suite of assets to help them "show rather than tell" this story.
We created animations and a detailed illustration mapping their world and a suite of visual assets. The EA World showcases EA's organisational objectives — competition, reliability and efficiency — surrounded by images conveying the electricity value chain across generation, distribution and use. We designed it to be used in a wide range of corporate communications.
Individual elements have been separated and stored in an asset library, so EA’s team can use them in documents, presentations, and social media channels. Moxie created use cases, guidelines, and social media templates for the team to use to achieve brand consistency as these assets are increasingly used in different communications contexts. We also drew on these assets in the development of four consumer-facing animations.
